From a very early age I have been fascinated by how things work and would often disassemble things just to find out - which got me into all sorts of trouble.

Having recently retired from running our family Window Blind Manufacturing business, I find my fascination for all the gadgets that are now available online (many of which I own) is just as keen as it was all those years ago.

My professional background prior to the blinds business was mainly engineering research and product development, coupled with some participation with the people responsible for promotion and marketing.

My childhood hobbies were mainly electronics. Now my hobbies include listening to music, playing the piano, cooking and photography. I've also dabbled with programming and have written a few desktop applications using Visual Basic Express and some  games with Adobe Flash.

I am also becoming more interested in health and well being as I've put on a few pounds since retirement (which can't be good for me if that trend continues).

My Hubs (I should say 'OUR Hubs' since my wife has contributed to much of the content) are mainly honest unbiased reviews and assessments of products that I (WE) have owned, borrowed or otherwise experienced (via family, friends, in-store demonstrations, etc).

You will also find Hubs on top rated products that bring together our researched information gathered while hunting down the products we eventually bought.

WE (It's official now) also intend writing some "How to" pieces which WE hope will help those with similar interests to OURSELVES.

Did we mention that we dote on our dog - Charlie.
