We’ve done a lot of research on-line on robotic vacuum cleaners, so if you’re looking to get one then our research may save you from having to trawl net yourself. After comparing models and prices we found that there were several high quality models that stood out from the crowd.
The iRobot 530 Roomba Vacuuming Robot is ideal if you have different types of floor surfaces that need cleaning. We can’t believe how intelligent this thing is! Here’s some more information:
The iRobot 530 Roomba Vacuuming Robot can clean on virtually any surface from smooth tiled through to carpet, to deeper pile rug. It can get into corners and senses areas that need more attention than others.
If you have rug with tassels, the robotic floor vacuum reverses and ejects them if they are caught up and the cliff sensor ensures that your 530 Roomba avoids drops like stairs.
Objects are detected with a gentle bumper action and electronic walls can keep the unit away from areas of your choice if necessary. The iRobot 530 Roomba will return to its base charging station when the job is complete or to recharge should the battery run low.

“I didn't really want an iRobot robotic floor vacuum, but the techie in me did. Within a few weeks and a cleanings, the iRobot 530 Roomba has been promoted from "want" to "need."
It's cute, high-tech, fun to watch, and it works. As we live in the desert, some seasons cover our floors and furniture with dust. We also have a Labrador retriever as well (hair everywhere).
We have brick floors, a couple of oriental rugs and several throw rugs. The Roomba makes our floors shine and negotiates the rug fringes with ease. The throw rugs are light, so it does have difficulty with them, rather than crawl up onto them, the iRobot moves them. Double sided tape or velcro will fix that.
The Roomba collects dust from places our vacuum cleaners can't easily reach and it vacuums the dog hair extremely well. If it has a problem (which isn't often) ot needs cleaning, it informs you and tells you what to do about it.”

“I wish I'd got an iRobot 530 Roomba Vacuuming Robot long ago. I have 2500 square feet of terra cotta tile, and one 8 by 10 rug.
I live in South west Florida, where it's sandy and dusty with 2 small dogs. I use the Roomba every three or four days. It collects the finest grit (not good with larger pieces though).
I didn't need the more expensive model with a scheduler. This one is fine. Buy one, you won't regret it.”
